An Omnivore Defends Real Food - Well - Tara Parker-Pope - Health - New York Times Blog

This guy is good.

After some cursory geneological research, I discovered that I am 3/4 Scotch Irish with the other quarter being partially hydrogenated.

Anyway, we're on a health kick, and Michael Pollan is very easy to understand--much easier than reading the ingredients on the back of a Cheez-Itz box.

I've read all of Pollan's books, and agree that he makes good points in easy to understand ways.

The annoying thing is this is so basic. Why didn't I write this book? Maybe if I shaved my head and wore cool glasses I could be a health guru.

How weird is it that a guy who endorses eating actual food starts a mini-revolution? Oh, I should just eat lettuce and apples? And occasionally meat? I don't know, sounds kind of wacked out. Better stick with the cheez-its.
